As a Billing Analyst, you will work cross-functionally with Billing, Legal, RevOps, Sales, and Support. You will also support business growth by building robust and smart processes and will own defining this as we scale. You will need to be based in either Lisbon or Chennai for this position.

The Team

You will be part of the Billing Operations Team with direct support to the business growth and company process compliance. Fear not, you will be fully supported by a much larger Finance & Engineering Team!

 

What will you get up to?

  • Reviewing, approving & processing credit note requests.
  • Reviewing contracts & account setup accuracy when the need arises.
  • Answering internal billing questions in a timely & professional manner, including escalations.
  • Guiding Sales & other colleagues on billing best practices
  • Reissuing invoices.
  • Creating & maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) 
  • Processing refunds.
  • Driving internal projects from concept to completion.
  • Completing Month-End Close activities as required. 

 

You’ll know you’re on the path to success when…

  • You are consistently meeting our Billing Process SLAs & deadlines 
  • You have  become a full-fledged SME on all things Billing within your first 6 months
  • You are an active contributor in any domains you are part of to ensure your expertise allows the team to achieve objectives. 
  • You have identified or delivered a process improvement project within your first 6 months

 

You’ll thrive in this role if you

  • Have 1+ year experience in a Finance/Accounting/Operations related field, with basic knowledge on Internal Accounting Standards (IFRS)
  • Have advanced excel skills including formulas sage and analysing data via pivot tables
  • Can work independently to drive workload and identify areas of opportunity
  • Have experience troubleshooting and/or answering complex customer queries in a timely and professional manner
  • Advantageous but not necessary to have previous experience with Billing systems and ERP systems
